Kicking off season two of Beneath the Subsurface podcast, we tackle some lingering questions and concerns that businesses are facing in the wake of the COVID crisis as well as the downturn in our industry. This double whammy has led traditionally office-based companies into remote work, challenging both individuals and teams to innovate differently. We'll discuss the growing gap between people and companies and how we can all work to bridge it.

In this episode of Beneath the Subsurface, we're focusing on ESG. We'll unpack what each of the elements are; Environment, Social and Governance, their measurement, and how they permeate our business. In this bonus episode, we take a quick dive Beneath the Subsurface, into one of the topics mentioned in episode eight on ESG. Gabe Rolland joins the podcast again and we sit down with Alex Loureiro, Director of Marine Environment and Biology at the IAGC to discuss the Ghost Net Initiative: a marine debris removal and tracking effort.

In this episode of Beneath the Subsurface we introduce our Geoscience and Data & Analytics intern teams for our summer internship program. Erica kicks off the episode with Jason and Sri talking about how the programs have come about and changed overtime here at TGS, how they select and recruit for the program, and the scope of the projects that the internships tackle this summer. Erica then spends time with both teams of interns discussing the experience in the program, what they’ve learned, and everything they’ll be taking away and applying back to their studies and upcoming careers.
