In the late 1970s, a strange group of folks arrived on Vashon Island, WA. Seemingly overnight, 60 men, women and children set up military tents and portapotties and got to work transforming 58 acres of pristine coastal forest into a religious commune.  Under the direction of their charismatic leader Lou, and his surly wife Mary Lou, the Wesleyan Cult built homes and a life for their community on their private compound.  Rumors swirled around town as islanders wondered what this new group was up to. As we find out this week, it was much weirder and more sinister than anyone could've imagined.

On August 2nd, 2006, Robert Eric Wone was stabbed to death in the Washington, D.C. row home of a dear friend. What was first reported as a random crime inflicted by an intruder unfolded into something much more sinister. As detectives worked to piece together a strange and confounding puzzle, every piece they uncovered seemed to reveal more questions than answers.  This week, we talk about the senseless and tragic loss of Robert's life,  and offer up our theories as to what really happened that night.
