In this edition, Patrick Herd sits down with Peter Fullagar,  Principal of Nudgee College in Brisbane.  The topic: the future role our schools play in developing communities of choice.
Peter has spent his 40 + year career in education. Originally training as a specialist physical education teacher then moving progressively through middle management and now in senior executive roles as Principal of Nudgee College in Brisbane.
He is currently Acting Director of Schools for Edmund Rice Education Australia Queensland. Most of his experience is in boys’ education where has held senior roles at independent colleges such as Gregory Terrace and Iona College in Brisbane and St Edmunds College in Canberra.
Peter is a member of the Association Heads of Independent Schools of Australia and Member of the International Boy’s Schools Coalition. He is a Board member of St Rita’s College, an all-girls school in Brisbane and is an active community member of his local Catholic Parish.
During this podcast Patrick delves into Peter’s background, asking what attracted him to his career in education, unpacking his views on leadership, seeking his insights on the future of single sex schools, and the future of schools as vital communities.
