Because your greatest enemy is time. You don't want to feel rushed. And because when you feel rushed, we make mistakes. Doesn't matter if I'm working in the shop or if I'm driving a commercial vehicle. Rushing doesn't help anyone, and we make mistakes when that happens. So if you keep the left door closed and get your miles on it benefits you. And spending a lot of time at truck stop or unauthorized stops or not leaving when you should. That all affects your time. And like I said, that's your greatest enemy. So keep the left door closed and don't get in a hurry.
