Episode 5: Checking On Your Strong Friends w/ Maiya Winston Makeup and Mindset

    • Moda e bellezza

In this week's episode, I chat with Maiya Winston, coach, consultant and mentor. Maiya helps people develop personal and professional strategic plans, as well as find their own voice as they represent their personal brand. She started her own brand and movement called Be A Possibility and she provides a weekly motivational Facebook show that she host every Monday called Monday Moments with Maiya.

Maiya is a Mom to a High Schooler and gets to spend her days showing people how to merge the causes they are passionate about with their professional development. With over 15 years of corporate experience, Maiya has seen firsthand the difference that working with PURPOSE and PASSION can make. When not working, mentoring or coaching, she also enjoys volunteering with various non-profit organizations in the DFW Metroplex. Maiya believes that there is always time to give back to your community.

In this episode, Maiya and I talk about the pressures and false realities that come with social media, the ups and downs of being an entrepreneur, and the struggles of being known as the "Strong Friend" and how lonely that can be at times. Maiya also chats with me about what it means to "Be A Possibility" and what inspired her to start her entrepreneurial pursuits.
