In 2003, a garage on the trading estate was taken over by a group called The Slough Pit Stop Project.
Their aim was to help young vulnerable people in the Slough area by giving them experience in working with motor vehicles, which would hopefully lead onto qualifications and then employment
The project now also offers opportunities in construction and catering and they have recently moved into a new building on Buckingham Avenue.
This episode finds out how and why the project has been such a success.

They are also a long term tenant at the Slough Trading Estate having been based here since 1928. Only one business has been at STE longer.

It is coming at a critical time for Slough’s forward-thinking business community, and we hear from Stacey King, CityFibre’s City Manager for Slough.
