    Little Miss Perfect

    By: Franchessa Homicile

    Dear Little Miss Perfect,

So much is expected from you.

    You’re so superficial

Your thoughts are so little and shallow.

Your daily routines are like an orthodox

Your tradition is to exercise, fast, do makeup, and seek validation from others.

You’re a people pleaser so you have to do it even though you hate it.

You grew up in a family with a history of bad luck.

So much misfortune, so much pain.

I’m so sorry Little Miss Perfect.

Because you were surrounded by people

    With overbearing pride,

    You also became arrogant.

    But you unlearned those flaws.

You’re prestigious, you are admired and liked by many.

You walk with your head held high.

Your shoulders are relaxed and your chest is out.

You’re fastidious about the amount of likes and dislikes you get.

You’re so concerned about every little detail of yourself.

You make sure there are no imperfections.

Again, I am so sorry Little Miss Perfect.

Because you are so hard on yourself and you struggle with self-love,

You try to find it within others.

You find it gratifying to be admired by others instead of yourself.

This kind of stuff pleases you and it satisfies you.

When you present yourself to others, you pretend to be filled

With so much zest, life, and energy.

But when you’re alone, you live a mundane life.

    Everyday feels repetitive and boring.

Dear Little Miss Perfect, I pray that you grow and flourish.

I hope that you learn to heal in the healthiest way possible.

I hope that you have the courage to take a step back and recede from reality.

I hear you Little Miss Perfect and you matter.
