The world of leadership is rife with information, listicles and re-hashed advice. We all know that we need to have more difficult conversations, be kinder and more empathetic with those we lead, and walk the path of servant leadership.

And yet we rarely seem to get any closer to developing ourselves as the leaders we wish to be. Instead, we clutter our brains with more information, enact a new promise to ourselves and those around us to lean in and show up more powerfully than we did last time, and somehow remain running around in circles.

There’s no shortage of advice available to create incremental change, and they provide exactly that: create incremental change. You get better at doing what you already do, but slightly faster and slightly better. Boring.

This podcast will NOT provide you with incremental change. It will expose your hidden genius, unlock a new level of mastery in yourself, and, provide you paths to creating exponential power and growth.

    Ep 305: Moving Beyond Authenticity

    Ep 305: Moving Beyond Authenticity

The advice that we hear non-stop is that you need to be authentic to be a leader. Most people are frustrated because they are authentic to the team, yet it is still not working.
There are stages of authenticity a leader walks through. The first stage is when you focus on making everyone around you feel okay. The second stage is you go from keeping yourself to allowing it to be spoken out loud. At this stage, people are transparent. And for the third stage, you move beyond authenticity of self as your sole goal. Leaders must walk through these three stages.
Listen as we dive deep into these stages. Why is it happening, and where authenticity is important? Enjoy the show!

    Ep 304: Humility and Leadership

    Ep 304: Humility and Leadership

The leader needs to be humble. We love that as a concept, but what we do is we try to conduct ourselves in a way that we deem humble to avoid being humbled.
The irony is that people will talk about how important it is to be humble as a leader. But then, we are actively taking every possible step to avoid the experience of being humbled.
Being humbled is not an easy experience. To be humbled, we must be willing to confront and face our arrogance. We end up empowering others to not step into the spotlight ourselves.
Some people are so allergic to the idea that they might be arrogant and hide behind the safety of this performative humility. Sometimes, what a leader needs to do is to empower while holding the spotlight. Sometimes, what a leader needs to do is to be the one who stands and allows themselves to be praised and take credit.
Listen as you learn more about humble leadership, servant leadership, and more! Enjoy the show!

Ep 303: The Ontology of Fear

Ep 303: The Ontology of Fear

Fear is the earliest emotional state. It has been with us from the very beginning. It is essential for your survival and is the primary mechanism by which you've arrived at this point in your life.
The role of fear is very simple: It is to do whatever you must do to ensure that you stay in the realm that you are completely comfortable in and familiar with.
One of the ways that fear is effective is it creates a mechanism by which we learn to become afraid of being afraid.
What we don't typically do is bring much of any reverence to fear. We usually dismiss it and try to set it aside.
Listen as you will know what is the underlying way of being of the fear and how it works. Enjoy the show!

Ep 302: Leadership and the Gate of Suck

Ep 302: Leadership and the Gate of Suck

"I made a mistake, and I'm never going to make that mistake again. I will do my best so that mistake never again occurs." These are the words we say when we make a mistake.
Most of the time, we force ourselves to be a master of something that we don't want to be. When that ability to perform comes from our hearts, and we just love doing it and wanting to be better, that is a beautiful thing. But what if our unwillingness to let ourselves off the hook becomes the fuel of our performance?
Listen as Adam Quiney will discuss more about this topic, the leadership, and the 'Gate of Suck.' Enjoy the show!
