There is so much going on. I’m not sure how I feel, or even how to feel. ⁣But I do believe.

My dad is a superhero. Who else has flown planes in the Air Force, completed a doctoral degree in theology, pastored a church, plays piano and saxophone, and now teaches middle school and college simultaneously? He is certainly the wisest man I know. But life has not been easy for him or our family. In this first episode of Season 2, we talk about how to handle disappointment, how to discern God's voice in hard times, and how to parent a young a curious creative like me!

In the previous episode, my dad told his story about flying jets in the Air Force before earning his Masters and Doctorate degrees in theology. What he hasn't told you yet was that a college recruiter told him he was not smart enough to even get accepted into the Air Force Academy, let alone fly a plane.
In Part 2 of this interview, I talk with my dad about how he faced the fear of failure, proved the recruiter wrong, and how to balance creativity with structure and tradition.
