Depression is a widespread affliction, but does the Bible actually talk about it? Yes, the Bible addresses both depression and anxiety and points us to the hope and peace we have in Christ. In this breakout, we discuss the causes of depression, the complexities of what it means to be human (mind, body, soul) and where our ultimate hope lies.

Rob Conti teaches on how to study the Bible, one of the most important sessions we offer. This session will present tips on how to practically study the Bible so that we can better know the character of God, the will of God and the importance of His Word.

“Aren’t there many ways to God?”“How do we know Jesus is the right way and not another religion?”“How can Christians say that they are right and that every other worldview is wrong?”These are important questions that every believer has to grapple with. In this Breakout session, we discuss whether or not there are multiple ways to God. We evaluate if Christianity makes the most sense of the world we live in and look at what the Bible says about this issue.

Zach walked through Ephesians 4:11-16 and made a specific application to the period of life where each student must take ownership of their own faith, talking through what it looks like to be an active part in the body of Christ.

In a day and age when so many things are competing for our time and devotion, it is more important than ever to take seriously the Bible’s command to train ourselves in godliness. This breakout looks at the spiritual disciplines that the Bible emphasizes and discusses how to apply them to our lives to be more conformed to the image of Christ.

During this session, Brody spoke to high school freshmen to prepare and encourage them as they embark on this new journey of high school. He taught out of Philippians 2 and examined how we must embrace responsibility and fill our minds and our time with things that honor the Lord.
