Ep. 12 - What's Old is New with Vimlark
This week I'm joined by Nick, known in the game dev community as Vimlark. Vimlark is a game jam veteran who participates in sever game jams every year. In 2020, Vim managed to place in the top 20 submissions during the Game Makers Toolkit Jam with his game, Make the Way . In this episode, we discuss the importance of creating a good user experience in games. We chat about one really appreciated UX element, and one that is often left out but highly sought after. Following our discussion we design a game around the theme, "What's Old is New".

One of our community members, Jitspoe, is releasing Goop Loop on Steam! Available July 21st, 2021, Goop Loop started as a Ludum Dare jam game utilizing the theme "Stuck in a Loop". This game sticks a unique movement mechanic into a comedic, physics based platformer that is sure to be all the rage. Other games in this genre include Getting Over It, Jump King, and more. Ep. 10 - Transmission with August Yadon (AuggoDoggo Games)
This week I'm joined by August Yadon. August is a game developer, a software engineer, and he's the creator behind the comical VR experience, Plunker. We chat about our experience with Ludum Dare 41 (Combine two incompatible game genres) - my first ever game jam, in which August and I teamed up to create Death Fog Dash. In the end, we come up with a rather unique game mechanic surrounding the theme "Transmission".
