    • Musica

Your host ILONA EUROPA interview with LARISSA BALDOVIN - artist, graphic designer, photographer, writer, filmmaker, and her husband MICHAEL HOCHMAN - a very known and loved bard, poet, singer songwriter, (producer), and filmmaker. Ilona and Larissa both grew up in Gliwice.
We will be talking about their journey from Poland to the USA and back to Poland - and we will talk a lot about documentary film PITSTOP:GLIWCE they created together with Ania Koszykowski. youtu.be/TVRBj3O9nWE
The film tells the story of Jewish inhabitants of Gliwice, who for about two decades tried to find their place in post-war Poland. Most of them were born in the territory of the Second Polish Republic and survived the Second World War in the USSR, and reached Silesia as part of the waves of repatriation. Not everyone had long-term plans with Poland, Gliwice was for them only a place of stay when traveling to Israel, America or Australia. The history of the movement of the Jewish population in Poland from the outbreak of World War II to 1968 is presented by the American actor StacyKeach.
