Ever since I could remember there was music in my life or rattling around in my head. As I was born in 1966 I was too young to really appreciate the great musical styles of the times, but I was brought up on the 70’s music of 10cc, Bowie, Roxy Music etc. so all was not lost. I have been passionate about early Garage/Psych since my teenage years but I discovered very quickly that the more I was to delve into the past musically the more pathways and other avenues of musical styles opened up to me leading into a fascinating world of Blues, R ’n’ B, Rock, Soul,  Ska, Folk, Pop etc. After many happy years of collecting vast quantities of music from the era 1960 to about 1978, I started to wonder if there was anyone else out there in the big wide world who shared the same passion as I did. This in turn led me to seek out possible venues playing the kind of music I adored. But despite living just outside of Birmingham there was nothing happening locally. I found myself travelling to London to get my ‘fix’. As this was a logistical nightmare I started to look into a possible cheaper radio ‘fix’... surely there must be something happening? Actually I found much to my disappointment, very little or many dead links of now defunct shows. Well I decided I then only had one choice, to put on the sort of radio show that I would love to tune into myself and hopefully so would others. Well here we are with the finished product. The Good Man’s Radio Show. I hope you find yourself awfully glad that you stopped by my little bubble of joy and I am able to spread at least a little of the joy I feel myself when I listen to my music. If I can spread the word of all these (sometimes) forgotten gems and start a whole new generation of people looking to explore the possibility that music doesn’t have to be dull and lazy, which I tend to feel an awful lot is now sadly, then so much the better. Thanks for tuning in folks, enjoy the trip. .LemmyX

    73rd Good man's Radio Show

News:Welcome to another new episode of The Good man’s radio Show. Hope you are enjoying the trip so far. Still trying to keep it eclectic and to not fall into the trap of just being another Psych/Garage show hence throwing a few rock tracks in to the mix amongst other things. I still cannot get the show up on YouTube annoyingly. They hosted it on Google Podcasts which they have now discontinued. They then asked for an RSS Feed to link up the show then blocked it Worldwide on Copywrite grounds which is vey frustrating. I am now on X (Twitter) though www. https://twitter.com/TheGood_Man7 so if any want to access me there and follow me, that would be great as the more the merrier. Anyway, hope you like the new show and if you have any suggestions, please feel free to get in touch. 73rd Show Tracklist:1       Baby and me – The Hammers2       Plenty of Love – The Sheffields3       Gloria – The Spektors4       Try Try Try – The Golliwogs5       Baby, Baby, Baby – Aretha franklin6       Girl on a Motorcycle – The British Lion Orchestra7       Uwiii – Wolfgang Dauner Quintet8       Momma’s Boy – City Boy9       Traveller in Time – Uriah Heep10  Top Ten record – Rick Price11  Little Miss Blue – Hardin & York12  Riverboat – Dando Shaft13  The Good Guys – Melanie14  Going to California – Led Zeppelin15  The Wizard – Marc Bolan16  Talk of The Devil – Elmer gantry’s Velvet opera17  Witness People – The Fountain of Youth18  Last Night – Byron Lee & The Dragonaires19  The Duck – Jackie Lee20  Mother Popcorn – James Brown21  Season of The Witch – Lou Rawls22  Almost grown – Small Faces23  Playing with Magic – The Smoke24  Evolution – Golden Dawn25  Misty mind (Live at the matrix 1966) – The Final Solution26  Colour of The Sunset – Danny McCulloch27  You Better Get Going Now – The Lomax Alliance28  Stranger – Julian jay Savarin29  Now and Again Rebecca – The U (Don’t) No Who30  Oh Gosh – Sandie Shaw31  Any Guy – Melanie32  Into The Country – Byzantium33  Janis – Focus34  Evening Shale – Alan Hawkshaw & Alan Parker35  Nights in White Satin Pt1 – Eric Burdon & War

    72nd Good man's radio Show

72nd Show News & Tracklist:Hi folks and welcome to the new edition of The Good man’s radio Show. Plenty to be getting your lugs into in this episode with the likes of The Artwoods, East of Eden (sorry Matt G I mixed up which episode they featured in), Genesis and If to name barely a few. Very sad to hear of Melanie Safka’s passing and I had already recorded most of the show when it happened, so I shall feature a few tracks on the next show for sure. If my vocal sounds different in this episode it is because I had some vocal clean up software Add-On installed. Not sure what to make of it and ¾ of the way through the show the trial period expired so it may sound a bit mixed up. Any feedback you can give me would be helpful though as not to sure whether to pay for it or just continue as usual. Anyway, please enjoy the show and if you would be so kind to follow me on Podomatic.com and share the show, which would be fantastic….enjoy. 1       Any More Than I Do – The Attack2       Fortune Teller – Tony Jackson & The Vibrations3       Sticks & Stones – Jeanie & The Big Guys4       I’ll Go Crazy – Zoot Money’s Big Roll Band5       Lookin’ For My Pigs – Ray Hoff & The Offbeats6       Leo: The Lord of Lights – Zodiac7       Ritual #1 – The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band8       Reverberation (Doubt) (Live) – 13th Floor Elevators9       One Eyed Hound – Genesis10  Blue Boar Blues – East of Eden11  All Fall Down – Lindisfarne12  Julie – The Corporate Body13  Follow Me – Tony Jackson Group14  Circle Round the Sun – Marian Segal15  Plastic Daffodils – Atlanta Roots16  The Sun Goes Down – Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich17  Who is The Doctor – Jon Pertwee18  Come See me – J.J.
