The Marlins offense (3 runs on 11 hits) got every hit but the big one, leaving eight runners on base, many of whom were in scoring position, and striking out eight times.
Josh Bell singled in Dane Myers in the first inning to get Miami on the board first, but Arizona came right back to tie it in the bottom of the 1st on Christian Walker's RBI double and Lourdes Gurriel, Jr's double.
Sixto Sanchez gave the Marlins his best start of the season so far- allowing five earned runs on five hits in five innings. The bullpen was lights out as usual, with three relievers combining for three scoreless innings.
The D'Backs did not get a hit after the fourth inning.
