Welcome to the website for Matinicus Wannabe, which is a radio show that hosted by me (Lock Kiermaier) and is heard on WRFR FM in Rockland, Maine on Monday evenings from 9-11 PM EST. If you live in the Rockland/Camden area, you can listen on your FM radio at either 93.3 (Rockland) or 99.3 (Camden). Matinicus Wannabe is an eclectic music show that is composed of music that I enjoy. I work hard at trying to provide a mix of new and old songs from artists that are familiar to me and others that I know nothing about! Musical genres include rock 'n' roll, blues, soul, reggae, bluegrass, folk, pop and whatever other music I might be interested in at any particular time.
The content of the show relies on my personal taste. After nearly 8 months of hosting the show, I have found that taking every request does not work very well in that many requested songs just don't fit in to this particular show. Instead, I urge folks to make suggestions of different artists that they think might fit into the show and I will listen to that artist and see if I think that music works well on my show.
