Mental Health and Suicide Awareness with Anna and Sarah Nye In the Wake

    • Automiglioramento

***TRIGGER WARNING***
This is a heavier episode and graphic details of suicide are shared. If you are suffering or recovering from a mood or mental disorder and/or suicide ideation, please listen with caution or choose to not listen at all. The last thing I would want is for hearing these things discussed in this episode to set you back in your healing journey or to trigger negative thoughts and feelings. Also, if you are a bit more sensitive or an empath, you also may want to listen with caution. This episode also contains explicit language.

*Disclaimer*

Whytli here. I would like to make an update edit stating that, in the time since this episode was posted, I have discovered that many of my personal values may not align well with those of the episode's guest(s). This is based on stances they have taken and/or shared on social media, etc. Although I may not 100% agree anymore with everything that was said, I don't feel the need to take down this episode because it may still have valuable content or messages that some may need to hear. If you are listening to this older episode, you may keep that in mind.

Anna and Sarah speak about the loss of their brother to suicide and the trauma they experienced afterwards. Through the vulnerability and rawness of their story, they empower and educate others on this sensitive topic. We discuss the grieving and healing process, advocating for mental health, and options to help those struggling. Anna and Sarah hosted a Run for Mental Health event to raise awareness about the affects of suicide and mental illness education. The host, Whytli Rogers, attended the event with her foundation, End The Stigma, hosting a booth and speaker where she was able to connect with the sisters. She was deeply impacted by their story and wanted to bring their voices to her platform. Listen in to hear more and share with your friends to spread the word!!
