Joseph is World Economic Forum's Global Shaper, founder of Solve Squad and board member of ARM Care. As a graduate who completed a Bachelor of Business Management and HRM (double major), and a Masters in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary, Joseph have developed an appreciation of people and human relations, and the key role it plays in organisations of different sizes and areas of expertise.

By working alongside charities, professional organisations and in his current position, he has seen first-hand the need to link people with their preferred career aspirations; and wish to provide this unique service of social entrepreneurship in the future.

In this episode, Ritika talks about her story of why she chose to study Biomedical Science in Australia and went on to assume student leadership roles and most recently launching a social enterprise supporting other international students. She is currently studying for Master of Cancer Sciences at the University of Melbourne and working as a researcher at Murdoch children’s Research Institute with keen interest in medical research and molecular biology. She has been awarded several awards throughout her student life and continue to excel in her career with her study life spanning across many countries including India, America, China, America and Australia.

Currently, he’s the national representative for the Council of Australian Postgraduate Associations, representing over 430,000 students across various universities in Australia. In one of his other roles, he’s also the Regional Advisor for Victorian Multicultural Commission and currently working in startup space.

Sri Lankan-born PhD student Ruwangi, studies at Victoria University’s Centre for Applied Informatics in the Institute for Sustainable Industries and Liveable Cities, and also a sessional lecturer in VU’s the College of Business, as well as a Research Ambassador, providing peer-to-peer support to other VU researchers.

Ruwangi earned a full scholarship from Data 61 CSRO and was also named a finalist in the 2019 Victorian International Education Awards under research category, as well as 2019 Visualise your Thesis contest, an international competition of graduate researchers from 16 universities in four countries.

Ruwangi believes in giving back and set up STEM Sisters in 2017 to attract, support and celebrate female international students and migrants (women of colour) in science engineering, technology and mathematics (STEM) fields.

Ruwangi is also Study Melbourne Ambassador for 2019 and has also appeared as a panellist for a range of events promoting women and diversity in STEM, including a ‘Learning on the Edge’ event, International Women’s Day celebrations at Victoria University, and presented at the Study Melbourne-supported Future Female Conference.

She completed a bachelor’s degree from the University of Colombo and her master’s degree in information technology from the University of Wolverhampton.

Daniel is an award winner of the Vice-Chancellor's Medal for Outstanding Contribution to University Life in 2017 during his Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) with Distinction at Deakin University, majoring in Accounting.

With a strong leadership potential, Daniel was immediately selected to become a student leader who represented his home country to join the DUELI Leadership and Internship Program during his first year at Deakin University.

During that period, he was trained to enhance his leadership skills in both theoretically and practically, especially teamwork and communication skills in order to coordinate with a crew of 20 leaders from 12 different countries.

Daniel is currently working as a Student Adviser at Deakin University for the Faculty of Business and Law. He also works as a Non-Executive Director at Bendigo Bank at the Blackburn South Community Branch, responsible for the Corporate Governance and HR committee.
