In a Dr. Phil exclusive interview, Eric Lynn, former national security advisor and national security expert, shares insights about the recent Iranian attack on Israel where Iran launched hundreds of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and drones in retaliation for the killing of their generals. This proved largely ineffective due to the advanced missile defense systems of Israel, developed with U.S. assistance. Mr. Lynn was credited with helping the Israel-Hamas cease-fire in 2014 by championing the Iron Dome counter-rocket system.
Eric highlighted the sophistication of the Israeli defense, which consists of several tiers including the Iron Dome, David's Sling, and Arrow systems, each designed to intercept threats at different altitudes and distances. He discussed the importance of intelligent responses from Israel to deter future attacks without escalating into a larger conflict. 
Eric suggested that the Iranian attack was a strategic failure, as it united international support for Israel rather than isolating it. The discussion also touched on the Iron Dome's origins, its capabilities, and its use in intercepting rockets from Gaza. Eric stressed that responses to the attack should be targeted at diminishing Iranian military capabilities while avoiding significant civilian casualties to prevent further escalation.
