I’ve always been a little extra sensitive to the environment. My contributions have been personal, small, yet significant and free of hyperbole, and more than just lip service. But ever since I discovered my love for travel, I also understood that leaving a carbon footprint behind as a traveller was inevitable. I was only and am still, determined to reduce that footprint. Menstrual Leave: My Reservations
Recently, an Indian company announced that it will give 10 days Menstrual Leave in a year to its female staff. While some were overjoyed by the news, I had my reservations that I have shared in this episode. I don’t think “Menstrual Leave” will bring the change needed in awareness and sensitisation of women’s health amongst men. The solution is longer, more painful but probably one that will have the most impact.
