    Film Virtuosity

    Film Virtuosity

On this episode we welcome 3 local independent filmmakers from right here in San Antonio, whose films were showcased at the library this year as part of a new SAPL film program entitled Film Virtuosity. Filmmakers Kerry Valderrama, Justin Rodriguez and Danny Geraldo Martinez sat down with Jared Thompson and JD Elizondo to discuss independent film and its importance in the local community as well as to talk about their recent film projects. Our filmmakers will also weigh in on what lies in the future for the industry, as well as give some words of wisdom to anyone out there who has ever wanted to work in film and the arts!

**Please note** Since this episode's recording in August 2023, it is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Mr. Kerry Valderamma, featured in this episode, who tragically lost his life on October 29th, just 2 months after recording this episode with us.

The San Antonio Public Library and Tuned wish to send out their deepest heartfelt condolences to the Valderrama family. Hosts Jared and JD want to express what an absolute privilege it was to interview Kerry in this episode and to get insight from one of the industry's biggest names and influencers. Now, we are beyond excited to finally release this episode in honor of our friend Kerry and the legacy he has left on the San Antonio and Texas film community. Thank you and enjoy!
