Episode 54: Fastigial Nucleus and Trunk Position

In this episode of Talk Neuro to Me, we release from the Carrick Institute vault Prof. Carrick’s discussion on the Fastigial Nucleus and trunk position. Prof. Carrick describes the dominance of trunk position over head position in vestibular processing of the cerebellum.
Humankind must be able to activate different groups of muscles even with the same head position and vestibular activation. Trunk proprioceptors have vestibular targets in the Fastigial nucleus and promote this functionality that allows us to support posture and locomotion.

my experience

I have been working and interacting with the Carrick Institute for more than 20 years. In my "general, family based" practitioner style practice I use many of the concepts and principles that I have learned in the hands-on seminar modules, and now through the on-line system. In essence being a part of the Carrick Insititute educational system provides me with the confidence and knowledge that are necessary in an evermore competitive health care environment. Over time, the Carrick Institute has continued to evolve and continually raise the standard and level of service that I can be proud of as a chiropractor in my community. Sincerely, I can't imagine practicing without the quality of services the Carrick Institute provides. With gratitude. Dr Howard Dwight
