320 - Annihilation
"One way in. No way out"
2018's hottest movie is Annihilation. This movie has everything: shimmering walls, mutant alligators, and talking plants. This sci-fi thriller is like if Darwin and David Lynch designed a bio-dome. Picture this: Natalie Portman, a grieving biologist, leads a team of equally tormented scientists into a glittery, rainbow-colored death trap called "The Shimmer". And the climax? Imagine a dance-off with your own shadow that might just swallow your soul. It’s the ultimate trip—literally.

319 - War of the Worlds (2005)
"The one where we see an accurate representation of Tom Cruise as a dad"
Join the gang this week while we break down an H. G. Wells story so iconic that everyone thinks Orson Welles (possibly related) wrote it. There is a lot of like about this movie. There is also a lot to dislike, and his name is Robbie. But at the end of the day we had a blast talking about this one. Enjoy.

318 - 28 Weeks Later
"Quarantine. Eradication. Sterilization. Repopulation"
Listen. I'm gonna level with you. It's the kids fault. Like everything in this movie is the kids fault. If Hawkeye had just done his job and shot Andy in the face London wouldn't be getting blown up and gassed by NATO right now. Speaking of that. I'm typing this from my hotel room in London. I gotta go. I hear some commotion on the street.

317 - Cloverfield
This week's episode is a thrilling introduction of Todd to the original Cloverfield movie, sparking unforgettable reactions to its unconnected universe and still-resonant cinematic impact.

316 - Dawn of the Dead (1978)
"Night of the Living Dead is over. Dawn of the Dead is here."
Join the gang this week while we break down a movie that really laid the ground work for all the zombie movies that came after it. We had a blast breaking down the ins and outs of this movie. We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed talking about it.

"This whole street is haunted"
Join the gang this week while we break down Demián Rugna's Terrified. This movie isn't just scary, its a fun twist on a classic haunted house story. We hope you enjoy this episode half as much as this movie scared Todd. Enjoy!

The horror family I never had
I stumbled onto this podcast by pure chance while looking for fun horror podcasts, and Horror Virgin is a podcast built on watching and discussing horror movies with Todd, someone who hates horror movies.
However, the hosts are not just mischievous and trying to scare a friend, they’ve got a really charming chemistry and I just love listening to their interactions.
I’ve been in chronic pain for months this year, and this podcast has helped me getting through some insane times when I was completely miserable.
Also, I love that there’s a community surrounding this podcast, as a horror lover who can’t get friends who are into horror, this is a really welcoming dimension where I’m allowed to have fun and share my love for a genre that is so often disparaged and disrespected.
Finally, I really appreciate how respectful the hosts are of other people, and I love Jennifer’s feminist takes.
Overall, what I find most enjoyable is that these people are clearly long time friends who enjoy each other’s company, and with each episode I listen to I feel like I’m allowed to hang out with friends who share my same passions too. 5/5 and not on the scary scale!
