    Tradition has it that the Hebrews came with father Abraham from Ur in Mesopotamia around 2000 bc, along with Abraham's God El Shaddai. After being led out of slavery in Egypt by Moses, the Hebrews organized themselves into 12 tribes, with warrior-priest chieftains. In 966 bc, King David was succeeded by Solomon in the new capitol of Jerusalem. Following multiple exiles and returns to Palestine, the Hebrews finally returned in 1948.
