We're back with another special edition of the podcast/show, as it's the 40th anniversary month of the John Hughes Film "Sixteen Candles" starring Molly Ringwald and Anthony Michael Hall. And, our duo of T.J. Rives and Jay Betsill are ready to give their insight and rememberances of what made this movie such a hit that has sustained, now for five decades and counting.

"Sixteen Candles" follows the misadventures of Samantha Baker, played by the endearing Ringwald, as she battles the turmoil of turning sixteen amidst her family's chaotic preparations for her sister's wedding. The heart of the story is really Samantha's  "teenage crush" on the dreamy senior, Jake Ryan (Michael Schoeffling), and her journey of self-discovery amidst a whirlwind of teenage angst, embarrassing mishaps, and unexpected friendships.

Plus, the hilarity of Hall added in and this movie just works.

You'll love reminiscing about the lines, the movie quotes ("No more yanky my wanky".... anyone?) and everything that went into making "Sixteen Candles" the success that it is.

We get ready for the Christmas holiday with a review of an action thriller CLASSIC that we believe is definitely a "Christmas Movie."

It's "We've Seen That!" with T.J. Rives and Jay Betsill talking the 1998 smash hit "Die Hard" starring Bruce Willis.

The guys also have a special guest with them, as they welcome Paul Stewart from London, England, to break down the movie that saw Willis turn into an international movie star as he plays "John MacLane." MacLane is the NYPD hero ,who tries to save his wife "Holly" (Bonnie Bedalia) and her co-workers that were taken hostage by terrorist "Hans Gruber" (Alan Rickman) and his crew during the Christmas party at the "Nakatomi Plaza" in Century City.

This movie has so many action packed scenes and plenty of humorous moments, as well.

So sit back, take your shoes off, and make fists with your toes on the carpet as you relax and listen to the banter on one of the greatest action movies ever made. "Yippee ki yay!" It's "Die Hard" and it's debated on "We've Seen That!"

The guys break down the John Hughes/Chris Columbus film that saw elementary aged Culkin reach bonafide movie star status for his role as eight-year-old Kevin. Kevin must protect his house from a pair of burglars, when he is accidentally left home alone by his family who is flying across the Atlantic to Paris for Christmas vacation and featured the great chemistry between Pesci and Stern as the “Wet Bandits.”

So, place your order for a cheese pizza, while being careful not to spill the Pepsi, put on your best aftershave, sit back and relax in first class while leaving the kids in coach and revisit the top grossing movie for all of 1990, “Home Alone.”
