In this episode, we’re chatting with Dr. Jill Stoddard, who is a clinical psychologist and the founder and director of The Center for Stress and Anxiety Management in San Diego, CA. She specializes in acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for anxiety and related issues. Jill received her PhD in clinical psychology from Boston University in 2007. She is an award-winning teacher, peer-reviewed ACT trainer, and author of Be Mighty: A Woman’s Guide to Liberation from Anxiety, Worry, and Stress Using Mindfulness and Acceptance and also co-author of The Big Book of ACT Metaphors: A Practitioner’s Guide to Experiential Exercises and Metaphors in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She co-hosts the Psychologists Off The Clock Podcast and writes the Be Mighty blog for Psychology Today. She lives in San Diego with her husband, two kids, and two French bulldogs.
