Soul Career Ep030: Stanford Professor Shares A Surprising Technique To Manage Stress

We all grapple with stress and anxiety, seeking solace in familiar avenues like vacations, yoga, or meditation. But have you considered the untapped potential of hypnosis?

The more we pursue our mission at Soul Career, which is to redefine the relationship between work and life allowing humans to thrive, the more we interface with the field of psychology. We now quite frequently refer our clients to psychologists and we're creating a network of psychologists to support our coaching work.

That's why we are so excited to bring our latest podcast episode.

In this episode, we are thrilled to be joined by Dr David Spiegel. Dr Spiegel is a Wilson professor and Associate Chair of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. He is also the Director of the Center of Stress and Health and Medical Director at The Center of Integrated Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine.

In this episode we uncover how hypnosis is more than mere mystique; it's a powerful tool for soothing restless minds. Learn from Dr Spiegel's insights as we explore the potency of hypnosis in alleviating anxiety and stress.

My guest for this episode is Transformational Relationship Coach and Author Dr Gary Salyer. I first heard of Dr Salyer when he was interviewed in a podcast in 2019 promoting his book 'Safe To Love Again.' Which was my first introduction to attachment theory.

Working with Dr Salyer has helped me be more attached to myself which acts as the operating system for how we move through our lives.

I'm so excited to feature Dr Salyer in this episode. Here is a bit of what we cover:

    2. How we develop our attachments and how they can impact us later in our lives.

    3. Whether we can change our attachment styles or not.

     And more....

This is part one of a two-part series. Part one focuses on the impact that our attachment styles can have on our lives. Look out for part two where Dr Salyer discusses his journey to finding his soul career as a relationship coach.
