Lessons Learned: What I have learned from adopting a reactive dog

Lessons Learned: What I have learned from adopting a reactive dog

Hi y'all! I am back with episode 5 of the Soulfully Stronger podcast, but this episode is the first of a mini series I am going to do on lessons I have learned from everyday experiences and interactions. I believe that it is the small things in our daily lives that can teach us the biggest lessons (if we allow them to do so, of course). In this episode I am going to touch on the lessons I have learned since raising my reactive dog. I adopt my sweet little Jade just over a year ago and she has taught me so much about patience, mindfulness, and unconditional love. Thank you for holding this space for me and being open to hearing what I have to say.

    With all my love, Ari

Let's Get Married: Unpacking issues in the wedding industry and what I am doing to prepare for my own wedding

Let's Get Married: Unpacking issues in the wedding industry and what I am doing to prepare for my own wedding

Hello yall! It's been a little while since my last upload, but I PROMISE, this time I am back for good! I am now graduated, working full-time big gal job, and most relevant to this episode, I AM ENGAGED! A lot has happened in a sort period of time. Today, I am going to be unpacking some of the things I have learned during my own wedding planning journey and what I intend to do to prepare myself both inter/intra-personally for my future marriage. I think there is something to learn from this for everyone (no matter marital status or beliefs in monogamy), but just in case I will also be uploading episode 5 that I have previously recorded for more content to sit with. As always, thank you from the bottom of my heart for listening and supporting this little project of mine. I feel so honored that you have come here to sit with my thoughts.

    With all my love,

    Ari

Coming Home: An Invitation to be at peace with your body

Coming Home: An Invitation to be at peace with your body

A bold title as ever. Just like most good things in life, feeling at home in your body takes time. Especially in the world we live in, where our bodies often feel separate from us, it is important to work on connecting and feeling at home in our skin. There is a lot of baggage that our bodies carry, from traumatic experiences to unrealistic expectations placed on us from birth. There have been many times where I have not only felt separate from my body, but I have felt at war against it. This is no way to live, no way to exist. We cannot be separate from our bodies on this earth, thus working on being at peace with our bodies is so important. Your body is special, unique and has carried you through every season of life. I hope some of my talk today helps you to consider reconciliation with your temple.

As always, I have so much gratitude for your support and thank you for holding space for me by listening.

    With love and deep gratitude,

    Ari

Reframing Your Experiences: Why your story matters

Reframing Your Experiences: Why your story matters

Today's episode is centered on why our stories matter (even the not-so-fun parts). I share abit about some not-so-fun experiences of my own, that are still important parts of my own story. I share this to provide a new way of viewing the things in our lives that we wish never happened or even that we may even regret, because they still play vital roles in our story. This is not to say that we should romanticize trauma or be "grateful" for the bad things that have happened to us or that we have gone through, rather it is to understand that these events have helped shape us in some way today. I want to denounce "toxic positivity", which is the act of denying real emotions for only positive ones and denying authentic human experience. There is a way to understand how even negative experiences have shaped you without denying the pain they have caused. I am excited to explore this topic with you today. At the end of this podcast, I ask that you find time for yourself to just breathe for a few minutes, possibly reflect on your own story, and be proud of who you are and the story of You. Thank you for listening and supporting my passion!

    With love and gratitude,

    Ari
