Today’s guest is a licensed professional counselor who specializes in assisting young adults (she even references memes in-session, y'all)! Practicing in the Deep South, Monet is a highly visible advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community, Black Lives Matter, and sex-positivity despite her cisgender, heterosexual white-womanness in highly conservative Cajun Country. Due to her surroundings, she is often made out to be the one who is disruptive, wrong, or "toxic" due to her passion for these disenfranchised groups. And though Monet has been able to find other like-minded people in her area, it's still difficult for her to shake the judgments of the majority.
