While the internet is very resourceful and fun, we need to be careful when meeting people online. Internet friends can be great to ease boredom, they can really create a sense of belonging and make individuals feel as if they have a friend they can rely on. Yes!

But we need to be conscious of many things about internet friendships: firstly, the friend may be using another person's identity to deceive people. The person may target you for something negative.  Also, it is easier to be misunderstood on the internet, even, you, as a person, can easily misunderstand people on the internet. This is because texts, chats, emoticons don't usually communicate intentions rightly.  Great opportunities can come through an internet friend, but It is easier to be deceived on the internet. 

We should have internet friends, but with great care.
