Jay Marten & The Early Birds Biography
Jay Marten (24) is a talented singer / songwriter and performer who makes alternative / southern rock together with his band called “Jay Marten & The Early Birds”. This band consists of rhythm guitarist Simon Bradley, bassist Deborah Jacobs and drummer Ludo de Groote. Inspired by bands such as Steppenwolf, The Doobie Brothers and Led Zeppelin, Jay Marten writes and records songs in his home studio. The psychedelic touch and vibrating grooves make you feel like you are being taken on a road trip in a car with chrome bumpers, long flared jeans, 8-track tapes and the love of your life next to you as you ride into the summer sundown.

From a young age, Jay Marten has been much more interested in 1970s music than that of most of his peers. The music of, among others, Queen and David Bowie already aroused the feeling of nostalgia in Jay Marten, while in reality he has no real memories of this time. The longing for a past that Jay Marten himself never lived he shows in his warm and dynamic sound that sounds as if it came straight from an old vinyl found in a thrift shop. In the song “Anemoia Meltdowns” Jay Marten describes that he would have loved to grow up during this time and wanted to discover his favorite musical acts for the first time in the prime of their career.

Nothing I Can Do - Smooth Panther

Nothing I Can Do - Smooth Panther

    Smooth Panther Biography

The music of Smooth Panther is inspired by various artists of the 1980's such as Peter Gabriel, George Michael, David Bowie, INXS and Duran Duran. Think of catchy gated disco drum beats, groovy fat bass, psychedelic padded synthesizers, funky guitars with lots of chorus effect and dramatic soulful vocals with lyrics about chasing love, existentialism, deep emotions and the longing of living life itself.

Smooth Panther is a new musical project of songwriter and producer Jay Marten in which he tries to reach out to a more secretive side of his musical interest. "My workflow of writing songs start with a certain feeling which I can't place in a specific genre. I just start with singing what feels good and then I try to add musical layers which fit to that specific feeling. Sometimes I find myself at sounds I never knew they exist and that is very exciting!". Smooth Panther is all about self expression and discovering new aspects of life throughout a musical adventure.

    Overdressed, Unimpressed by Melody Frost

    Overdressed, Unimpressed by Melody Frost

    Biografie Engels
Melody Frost is a 22 year old, Dutch singer and performer that's making her debut as a solo artist. All her work is recently co-written and produced by her older brother Jay Marten, recording everything in their bedrooms. Melody has been in the music industry for quite some time, she started singing and performing with her own pop punk band when she was only 12 years old and proceeded to start her own post- metalcore band back in 2013 but after a few years of doing that, she figured it was time for a fresh start and change her style from her prior post-metalcore band, to (indie-) pop music, since she has always loved pop music just as much as other heavier genres.

Melody cares a lot about the people she works with, her fans and the meaning of her lyrics; "Writing my own songs has been such a powerful way of coping with events I go through in life. Everything I write means something to me and I hope people can relate"; as Melody has gone through some real drama in her life, that she claims made her a stronger person.

Growing up Melody had always been the one with a big attitude, that got her in quite some trouble throughout highschool. She felt like people wouldn't listen to her because she was just a kid, but listening to Green Day, Paramore and Nirvana made her feel empowered and making her own music got her back on her feet every single time.

Other artists Melody relates to include: Halsey, Billie Eilish, BENEE, Dua Lipa and Tones And I.
