EP 2 - SOMA MATER - "Building A Better Food System"
In my 2nd episode, I am sitting down with Majid Al Qassimi and Greg Ohannessian. They’re the duo behind Soma Mater; a UAE based consultancy firm that focuses on food security and uses data to create radical transparency across our food systems to build a more resilient, secure, sustainable food future by working with organisations, big and small.
In this conversation, we take a deeper look into where our food system currently stands and how agriculture in an industrial format makes the entire chain fragile due to its lack of biodiversity.
We discuss the ideology behind regenerative agriculture, organic farming methods and most importantly, a shift in the consumer mindset to create a longterm, restorative change.
