Ecclesiastes 5:8-20
This Sunday, we will return to the book of Ecclesiastes and gain wisdom on how to view our money.

Made New | Baptism Sunday
Made New | Pastor Jon Adams
In 2 Corinthians 5:17 we read, “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, this person is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.” At Renew, we like to use a phrase based on this scripture on Baptism Sundays: “I have been made new.” But what does that mean? In his devotional, Pastor Jon unpacks how, once we have accepted Christ into our hearts, we have a new identity. We are a new creation, not because of anything we’ve done, not because we deserve it, but because of Christ's sacrifice on the cross. -
Seasons - Ecclesiastes | Let My Words Be Few - 1.6
Seasons | Let My Words Be Few | Pastor Chris Heller
Ecclesiastes 5:1-7
We’ve all said something we regret. Why the regret? Because we know our words are powerful. They can both wound and heal.
In the season of life you find yourself in, have you been more careless or more careful with your words? Are they an encouragement or discouragement to others?
Join us this Sunday as we are challenged to consider our words, especially in those times when they should be few! -
Seasons - Ecclesiastes | Lot in Life - 1.5
Seasons | Lot inLife | Pastor Chris Heller
Ecclesiastes 3:16-4:16
Have you ever noticed that certain people seem to have more difficulty in life than others? Tragedy, disease, and challenging circumstances keep happening to them until you wonder how much more they can bear. Or, as we go through our own seasons of life, we might be tempted to question, “why am I in this season and ‘they’re’ not?” This is where we find Solomon in our text this week. In light of the difficult trials and circumstances he sees all around him, Solomon concludes that life is just full of trouble. We might have different trials, but we’re all in the same storm. How we respond has a great deal to do with who walks beside us through the storm. Do we have someone who will encourage and motivate us to get to the other side? In this message, we examine the types of friends that we can turn to in the midst of our trials, and how they can influence our response. We pray this message will inspire you to move forward and cherish who God has put you with in your season of struggle. -
Seasons - Ecclesiastes | Time Is Seasonal - 1.4
Seasons | Time Is Seasonal | Pastor Chris Heller
Ecclesiastes 3:1-15
We've come to that famous passage in our Ecclesiastes studies that nearly everyone has heard of at one time or another. A certain familiar tune might even be running through your mind. "To every thing -- turn, turn, turn -- there is a season -- turn, turn, turn . . ."
By now, we all recognize that life is a series of seasons. As we celebrate our moms this Mother’s Day, we will reflect on the various seasons of not only a mother’s life, but those that affect families and individuals as well, and we will see that God has ordained them all. -
Seasons - Ecclesiastes | All My Toil - 1.3
Seasons | All My Toil | Pastor Chris Heller
Ecclesiastes 2:12-26
Join us this Sunday as we continue in chapter 2 of Ecclesiastes. Last week, we saw how Solomon chose to pursue every earthly pleasure and discovered the emptiness of selfish indulgence vs. living a life of giving generosity to others.
This week, he debates the futility of working to merely accumulate wealth and possessions, knowing he must eventually leave it all to someone who may squander it. From his experience, we learn that true contentment comes from recognizing that work is a gift from God that can bring joy and meaning when done to His glory.
