Indecent Exposures The Idiots

It’s 2022 and our hosts kick of Season 2 of the podcast starting off a new year with the same old antics. 
There are some hot topics on the discussion panel today ranging from gender bias and the disclosure of pronouns in the workplace, to the legalization of prostitution, as well as the institution of a government vax tax on COVID hospitalizations. As usual, our varying opinions allow for some colourful discussion and passionate propositions.

In this week’s episode we have a full house! Our OG podcasters are back at it, discussing gene editing and the benefits to developing gills for human species advancement – listen, we never said we were smart, we’ve always just said we were pretty. 

Using human genetic modification to create a super soldier subset of our species is the least of our concerns when we compare it to the damage that drones and AI can do through robotic engineering, and we further explore some of the thoughts around these ideas. Ultimately, we discuss whether we feel any of these medical or technological advancements will be able to impact our evolution to an extent that is felt across all demographics of humanity and enhance the democratization of society; and if not, what kind of universal change will be able to achieve this.

Our hosts have a special friend and guest on air that brings to table some interesting arguments against the vaccine, resulting in the usual discourse and riveting discussion that ensues when we delve into a controversial topic. Unlike a lot of polarizing debates that seem to be flooding the waters these days, this discussion stays afloat and better yet, doesn’t sink any friendships.

It’s 2021 – you can’t host a podcast without talking about the vaccine. In today’s episode we’re missing a host, but there is no lack of content when it comes to debating the jab. We take the positions of pro-vax vs anti-vax and try to address some of the very polarizing ideologies that are contributing to the increasing divide that separates each of these proponents, and ultimately how the hell we can all still get along. 

But forget COVID, what brings one of our hosts closer to the brink of death than ever before is THE DIREWOLF ATTACK THIS WEEK. Unfortunately, he doesn't have any Stark blood on his side, so this leads to a life or death situation that could have had a very different ending if not for a bit of luck and quick thinking.

This week our hosts keep it Loki and start off with an easy topic: our plans of global exploitation if we could read minds and the lucrative spoils we would enjoy - if not for some pesky moral and interpersonal qualms. Too bad money rules the world.
We dive into a discussion on whether there is such a thing as an unfair advantage in life and if we could take a 2-on-1 against Lebron, even with superpowers (we most certainly could not). Insider trading weaves itself into the conversation and we conclude on the fact that we would all capitalize on it if it meant we would get rich quick (we never said we were good people, just good hosts). Finally, we debate on whether it's productive to sugar coat the truth, if ever you should, and how to handle a spouse if they complain about your cooking.

How do you deal with friends that have increasingly polarized views from you, in a world that is increasingly divided? This week's episode focuses on how our hosts navigate those tricky waters, and how a clash of ideas vs a clash of identities can dramatically shape how a society functions. Serial killers and Paul Bernardo somehow manage to weave themselves into the conversation. Human reaction to fear of the unknown and the fact that our brains are not evolving at the same pace as scientific discovery lead our hosts down the path to debate whether technology will one day augment our physiological make up and turn us all into cyborgs. Capital punishment is always the best topic to end any chill session, and listeners finally get the scoop on how the podcast name came to be.
