    Warriors of Virtue

    Listeners Choice Month continues!

In this week's episode, the guys are "treated" to the kangaroo/martial arts/YA (?) movie Warriors of Virtue. This is a mystifying movie in many ways but the guys dive deep into the story arcs that are abruptly dropped, Angus Macfayden's amazing and highly sexual performance, the jumpy slow-motion used in EVERY fight scene, the kangaroos themselves having no personalities and much more. Plus: Brendan reveals a sacred childhood connection to the movie.

Next week: Listeners Choice Month continues with... The Genesis Code!

    Battleship

    Battleship

    Listeners Choice Month!

It's one of the most special times of the year in which we turn the book over to YOU, the listeners! Starting off this whirlwind of a month is 2012's Peter Berg Hasbro epic BATTLESHIP starring Taylor Kitsch and a quick dash of Liam Neeson. Why DID they make a movie based on a game like this? Does a burrito become a major plot point right up until the end of the film? How does one get promoted to lieutenant in 48 hours after joining the Navy? Could the aliens look worse? And holy moley at that entrance of the war veterans, eh? Join the guys as they rant about this, pogs for some reason and again ask WHY DID THEY MAKE A MOVIE BASED ON BATTLESHIP?

Next week: Listeners Choice Month continues with... Warriors of Virtue!

    Blackbird (w/Jason MacLeod)

    Blackbird (w/Jason MacLeod)

It's the fifth Thursday of the month (a rare occurrence!) so you know what that means - it's time for a Small-Screen Shameful! Jason MacLeod joins the guys this week to talk about Blackbird - the Michael Flatley (yes, of Riverdance) vanity project. They talk all about Flatley's unfathomably bad, static, hilarious and insane performance, Eric Roberts drunkenly slurring all his dialogue, the obscene amount of hats, the most boring card-playing scene since Poker Face (the Crowe one) and much more. Plus: original guest Galen Howard chimes in having seen the first half of the movie.

Next week: Listeners Choice Month begins with... Battleship!

    What We've Been Watching:
    "Star Ocean: Second Story R"
    "Ted"

    Taken 3

    Taken 3

In the second part of our Liam Neeson spectacular, the guys shift their attention to Taken 3 (or Tak3n if you were a part of the stupid marketing team). It's a movie that asks the question... what if we just didn't take anyone? You can blame Liam Neeson for that and his weird-ass contract. But in regards to the movie, they also wonder what is up with Forest Whitaker's hands business? How stupid is Bryan Mills in his everyday life? Should you ever tamper with bagel evidence? Plus: a deep dive into a very specific emphasis-based type of criminal.

Next week: It's a real doozy of a small-screen shameful. This one will dance all over your brain!

    Taken 2

    Taken 2

In a first-ever for the boys in Thinking Town, Canada... this is the first of a Taken twofer. That's right - starting off this week with Taken 2, a film that asks the question: do you want to see it again but not as good? This film has everything from Bryan's daugher Kim using grenades like sonar devices, Bryan's sewing circle of friends who dish way too much, some of the worst fight choreography you'll see in an action film and much more.

    Next week: Taken 3!

    What We've Been Watching:

    Teaching Mrs. Tingle (w/Megan Miller)

This week, Patron Megan Miller joins the guys to school them on the education system with a breakdown of the 1999 Kevin Williamson thriller Teaching Mrs. Tingle. Will a real-life horrific violent act in school stop the momentum of a potentially violent school-themed thriller? No wa-- ... what? Oh, it will... oh, it did? Oh okay.

    Ahem.

Anyway, the gang talk about the awkward last-minute cuts to get a PG-13 rating, the very disturbing Jeffrey Tambor seduction scene, the inconsistent soundtrack, Vivica A. Fox getting robbed and much more. Plus: her husband's name is Richard... think about it.

Next week: some skills... just in general.
