Jesus said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” During these uncertain times, you may be mentally paralyzed by existential dread and anxiety but knowing that Christ is the head over every power and authority should be of some consolation to you. To believe that nothing happens in this world apart from His preordained decree should give us peace. As Article 13 of the Belgic Confession reads, “Nothing happens in this world without His orderly arrangement.”
