Episode 5: What's your mother tongue?
This week Sohini and Rijul talk about how we learn to talk, and in doing so attempt to pry open the deep Pandora's box of neurodevelopmental linguistics without any expertise to qualify them to do so. They'll talk about growing up multilingual, address the concept of the mother tongue, and briefly discuss some of the scientific theories underpinning our language-learning brains. Condiment corner is a home-made version of a Japanese supermarket mainstay.
