    Actor, writer and director Nakia Dillard is a Philadelphia-bred creative soul, as evident by his love of arts of all disciplines.As a child, Dillard's gift of drawing introduced him to a whole new world of colors, animation, and imagination. Extremely talented in this area, Dillard thought of drawing as a life career. But acting came calling, and soon he would be found in one of the most respected venues in the nation - Philadelphia's Freedom Theater.Enrollment in the Freedom Theater led to Dillard's meeting renowned coach Ricardo Martin, who introduced him to the Rainbow Company and where he would go on to hone his skills even further. That experience led to Nakia Dillard's determination to become the best he could be. He would eventually perform at the distinguished Hedgerow Theater, and The Wilma.Dillard later appeared as a frequent character in the critically acclaimed TV series "The Wire," working alongside some of the most recognized names in the industry (such as actor and director Bill Duke).

    The series was the start of a much bigger picture and Dillard would eventually find himself in company with Gerard Butler, Jamie Foxx, Anthony Mackie, Wendell Pierce, Kerry Washington, and many other notable performers. Today, Dillard is steadily fulfilling a lifelong dream of giving back to the community which gave to him. He is the founder of Aikan Entertainment Solutions (pronounced "I can"), an organization that empowers young talent and encourages their artistic growth as well as the entrepreneurial spirit.

    He is also the founder of Aikan Performing Arts, a successful organization, which trains individuals (from ages five and above) in the art of acting and other creative outlets.

    Sonny came from one of the more unorthodox beginnings when it comes to real estateinvesting. Sonny has a background as a student athlete and always had a proclivity tobecome an entrepreneur. Doing direct sales and door knocking. Sonny was accepted to CalState Long Beach on a full ride scholarship. Growing up in Inglewood Sonny did not alwaysmake the wisest decisions which culminated in him spending more than 9 years incarceratedat a maximum security prison.During his incarceration, he did not make an immediate transition. But still involvedhimself in many of the activities that led to his incarceration, such as drug dealing & ganglife.After multiple stents in solitary confinement. Sonny decided to make some drastic changes.Beginning with his mindset over a four year period he read & studied over 200 books onbusiness, history & self help.As well as joining business programs, “Defy.” And eventually finding the Jay MorrisonAcademy which introduced him to wholesaling where Sonny was able to source of his 1stdeals from prison.

    Young Black Suburban Ep 53 Boxing Legend Nate Miller

    Tim has on Boxing Legend and WBA Cruiserweight Champ Nate Miller for a full episode in the gym.  Listen as they talk about his career and life outside of boxing.

    He turned pro in 1986 and in 1994 landed a shot at IBF Cruiserweight Title holder Alfred Cole, but lost a decision. In 1995 he scored a KO victory over Orlin Norris to win the WBA Cruiserweight Title, and defended the title four times before losing the belt to Fabrice Tiozzo in 1997. He retired in 2001.
