Andre "Angel" Melendez was a member of the Club Kids and purported drug dealer who lived and worked in New York City. He was killed by Michael Alig and Robert "Freeze" Riggs on March 17, 1996. His life and death have inspired several pieces of media, including books, films, music, and television.

The killings were characterized by the dismemberment of twelve known victims and the disposal of their remains in the impoverished neighborhood of Kingsbury Run.

Tia went to Croydon about 5 miles away from her grandmother home in New Addington, South London to buy flip flops. Tia left her phone according to Stuart at his request to charge while she was out, she won’t be long. When 6 pm rolled around and no sign of Tia, Christine began to worry. By 10 pm a police report is filed. New Addington was now on the lookout for a missing 12-year-old girl.
