Anime Scouter - A Not So Young Nerd's Show Not So Young Nerd

Bakugo is the MVP. Last week I said I was excited to see what they did with Bakugo in this episode. Was he going to be a badass? Was he going to have some character development? Well, the answer was an astounding yes! The episode was incredible. This season of My Hero Academia, while not as heavy, is still knocking it out of the park week by week. And on next episode we are finally going to see Midoriya in action. Plus Ultra!

This episode was all Lida and Todoroki focused and what a treat that was. After last week’s episode where it was revealed that Lida literally took out his exhaust pipes from his leg in order to grow bigger and faster ones, I was amazed and interested in his new upgraded powers. And what a payoff it was. For ten minutes Lida was unstoppable. Aside from that, we got some brand new hidden power from Torodoki. 

This arc of my hero Academia keeps getting better and better each episode. Are you excited about next week’s episode? I know I am.

I had the fortune of seeing the new Demon Slayer movie, and it’s as great as everyone is saying. The first part of the episode is a spoiler free review of the movie. I tried to keep it as general, but also as informative as possible. If you have seen or haven’t seen the movie yet, I have two words for you to keep in mind. Kyojuro Rengoku. That’s all I’m going to say.

This week of My Hero Academia surprised me a lot for…. SPOILER WARNING…. YOU’VE BEEN WARNED…. SERIOUSLY… I’LL SPOIL IT RIGHT NOW, I DON’T GIVE A DAMN…. not letting our heroes win. Aside from that we got a solid confirmation on this season’s light-hearted, hopeful tone, and we got to see some cool new powers, what else could we ask for?

This week of my Hero Academia concentrated on Tokoyami and his new ability. This season seems to be ramping up nicely as a way for the characters to mature both physically and mentally.
