We loaded up a shotgun full of words and sounds and fired them at The Wizard of Oz. That shotgun of words is named Beck and the ammunition is the album Odelay. We talk about a lot of 90s shit but also a lot about the various dicks in Disney films. Whoops.

Were you team Backstreet Boys or N'Sync? Both Erin and I are team Backstreet Boys, and so that's who we're talking about today!

We talk a lot about the titular boys, but also other boys named New Kids on the Block. We talk about fan-fiction (again), we Google "Wizard of Oz, but sexy." We cast a remake. I explain what a key change is because boy bands fucking love them. We talk about long held grudges against Ray Bolger. We kind of go all over the place... oh, and eventually we do talk about how this album might sync up to The Wizard of Oz.

We get a little political because we're talking System of a Down and you can't not talk politics with System of a Down. How does the driving music sync up to a beautiful film with slow pacing? Mike has some interesting takes. Meanwhile I have some thoughts about Dorothy and her college courseload (namely her sociology 101 class). I also learn that a song is about Charles Manson and another song is about group sex. I did not know these things. If you didn't know, now you know.

Things are finally getting really weird as I think this is the first time we talk less about syncing things up and more about other random stuff. We talk about the problems in Hollywood in 1939, Elizabeth yells at tornadoes for a bit, and we somehow make a return to They Might Be Giants. All in all, it was a pretty successful adventure.
