Welcome back to Season 3, Episode 206 of the Asian Hustle Network Podcast! We are very excited to have Steven Tang and Joanne Tabellija-Murphy on this week's show.

Steven Tang is the co-founder and CEO of JUJU Spirits, creators of Asian-inspired alcohol brands Drunk Fruit and Yoju. JUJU is bringing Asian cocktails like yogurt soju and Asian fruits like lychee to a market that has historically seen very little Asian influence. Prior to this company, Steven built products for creators at tech companies like Instagram and Twitch. As an immigrant, he's always found the strongest connection to his heritage through food and beverage.

Joanne Tabellija-Murphy joined Walmart in 2013 as the National Director of Constituent Relations in Corporate Affairs. As a seasoned change agent with a twenty-year history of transforming large international companies by leveraging institutional knowledge, Joanne is responsible for building partnerships and strategies that advance stakeholder advocacy and transform social change by building trust in the 4,700+ communities Walmart serves.

Walmart has kicked off the tenth annual Open Call event, being held this year Oct. 24-25. We are inviting small business owners and entrepreneurs to learn more about the opportunity to pitch their products made, grown or assembled in the U.S. to be sold on Walmart or Sam’s Club shelves, or at Walmart.com. Allison Hueman // S3 Ep 205 // How Genuine Relationships Lead to Success

Allison Hueman // S3 Ep 205 // How Genuine Relationships Lead to Success

Welcome back to Season 3, Episode 205 of the Asian Hustle Network Podcast! We are very excited to have Allison Hueman on this week's show with our host, Misa Chien.

Allison Hueman is a multidisciplinary artist based in Oakland, CA. Recently celebrated for her ground-breaking NBA jersey design for the Golden State Warriors, Hueman’s work comes to life in multiple mediums.

Whether she is creating delicate visions on canvas, augmenting reality through video projections and other digital media, or crushing massive walls with a spray can, she often draws on the human condition to create colorful mash-ups of the abstract and figurative.

In January 2022, Hueman premiered her award-winning immersive art experience, Homebody, a 20,000-square-foot experience brought to life by projection mapping and augmented reality. Hueman’s distinctly gauzy art style is what she likes to call “etherealism,” a blend of ethereal realism. Her pieces explore themes of time, memory, trauma, and healing, and her layered work can be seen on streets and in galleries worldwide.

She balances her time between exhibitions and creating public works while also collaborating with some of the world's top brands that include the Wynn Las Vegas, Adobe, Nike, Google, L’Oreal, Sony Music, and many more. Her work has found homes in the collections of Ava Duvernay, Usher, P!nk, and Swizz Beats.
