Season 2 has been difficult to record and keep up with because of new life adventures, I’ll update as soon as I can!
Looking into the insights of scripture through the chaotic mind and antics of Clint Sowell. He will help take what’s in scripture and apply it to a 21st century world, sprinkled in with a few stories of what it’s really like to grow up as a preacher’s kid. Why am I talking in the 3rd person?

Are You a Citizen?
A citizen of heaven that is. As we look at Philippians 1:27 where Paul talks about being citizens of Heaven and acting unified in that regard, how does that translate to where we are as the American church? Which citizenship and loyalty takes the top priority in your life?

How Can You Sleep at a Time Like This?!
That's what the captain aboard the ship asked Jonah as the storm raged on while he was sleeping down in the hold of the ship. His disobedience to God's direction and call in His life caused the storm that was now effecting other people in a very life or death kind of way. This is much like we are right now as Christians. How can we sleep at a time when there are so many souls who don't know Jesus? How can we sleep at a time when so many of our brothers and sisters are suffering, hungry, or needing clothed? It is time to rise up and go to our "Nineveh", our place of obedience that God has called us to do in our lives and use the talents he has given us for.

The Chaos of Division
Even in 2020, divisions in the church hurt the cause and the calling of spreading the Gospel. Often times, our own bitter hearts of prejudice cloud our judgement and our interactions with each other as Christians, even more so with non believers. On this episode, I discuss how my own background sometimes hindered me from carrying out God’s purpose in my life. As always, email me at chaoticdevotionpodcast@gmail.com if you have any comments, questions, or prayer requests!

The Good Friday
Isaiah 53:5 perfectly describes what happened on the cross over some 2000 years ago, yet it was written hundreds of years before Christ ever walked the face of the Earth. God kept His promise of a redeemer, even after all of that time, and Christ fulfilled that promise to the letter. So, when God promises a better tomorrow when we leave this Earth, should we ever question the validity of that promise?

Our Commitment to Our Faith
We dive into a difficult scripture in Judges 11 about Jephtha and a serious commitment and promise he made to God after asking for victory that ultimately cost him everything. How committed to our faith are we?
