    Kiana Madeira Interview (Fear Street)

Kiana Madeira’s been mighty busy in this industry for a good while now, but her show stopping performance in the Fear Street trilogy feels like it’s hitting a different level of notoriety — the level she deserves.
With the full Fear Street trilogy available to stream on Netflix, Madeira took the time to join us for an episode of Collider Ladies Night. Yes, we go deep on those films, including getting Madeira’s thoughts on the trilogy’s big finish and that end credits tease, but she also looked back on her journey to those Fear Street films. Alexandra Daddario Interview (The White Lotus)

Alexandra Daddario is mighty busy right now. Not only does she have the long-awaited movie, Die in a Gunfight, available to watch in theaters and on demand, but also the new HBO series, The White Lotus, which has begun its run with Episode 2 due to air on Sunday at 9pm.
Daddario stars alongside Diego Boneta in Die in a Gunfight as Mary and Ben, respectively. A spin on Romeo and Juliet, they’re star-crossed lovers forbidden to be together by their powerful, feuding families. Karen Gillan Interview (Gunpowder Milkshake)

    Karen Gillan Interview (Gunpowder Milkshake)

This episode of Collider Ladies Night marks a very special occasion. Karen Gillan is officially the show’s first returning guest! Back in 2019, we went heavy on Gillan’s work behind the lens and in the Jumanji franchise, but round two gave us the opportunity to discuss Gillan’s early modeling days, her journey in the Marvel Cinematic Universe playing Nebula and, of course, her new Netflix movie, Gunpowder Milkshake.

Gillan leads the film as Sam. Back when she was just 12-years-old, Sam’s mother Scarlet (Lena Headey) was forced to abandon her, leaving Sam to be raised by The Firm, the crime syndicate her mother worked for. Now as an adult, Sam’s a successful and very skilled hit-woman, just like her mother once was. However, when a job forces Sam to choose between The Firm and an innocent young girl (Chloe Coleman), Sam opts to do what’s right, putting a massive target on her back in the process.

Check out this episode of Ladies Night to hear all about how Gillan capitalized on the popularity of Doctor Who, what it's been like developing Nebula with James Gunn, Joe and Anthony Russo and now Taika Waititi, which Gunpowder Milkshake co-star she was geeking out over the most and so much more!

    Iliza Shlesinger Interview

    Iliza Shlesinger Interview

Acting isn’t a new thing for Iliza Shlesinger. As she told us on Collider Ladies Night, “I've been auditioning at a really high level for a very long time.” It looks like that persistence is paying off because her film career is taking off in a very big way right now. She starred opposite Mark Wahlberg in 2020’s Spenser Confidential, shared the screen with Vanessa Kirby and Ellen Burstyn in the Academy Award nominated Pieces of a Woman, and now she’s celebrating the release of a new Netflix movie she wrote, executive produced and stars in, Good on Paper.
Inspired by her own true experience, Shlesinger leads Good on Paper as Andrea Singer, a stand-up comic who’s always prioritized her career. However, when she meets a guy (Ryan Hansen) who seems to check all the boxes, Andrea starts to think it might be time to give a relationship a go. But the big question is, is this guy really everything he appears to be?
With Good on Paper now available to watch on Netflix, Shlesinger joined us for an episode of Collider Ladies Night to recap how she went from Last Comic Standing winner to headlining her own feature film.

    Betty Gilpin Interview

    Betty Gilpin Interview

I’m of the mind that Betty Gilpin is currently one of the best of the best in film and television. Of course the success of Netflix’s GLOW was a major game-changer, earning Gilpin three Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, but it’s the pairing of her work in GLOW and The Hunt in particular that firmly solidifies that Gilpin is someone who has range for days to show off - if the industry would just continue to let her tap into it. While celebrating the release of Amazon’s The Tomorrow War, Gilpin joined us for an episode of Collider Ladies Night to retrace her steps in the industry and to discuss her hopes for the future.
Hear all about how Mare of Easttown served as an inspiration, how Gilpin dealt with the cancellation of GLOW, what it was like working with director Chris McKay on The Tomorrow War and loads more on this edition of Collider Ladies Night!

    Jordana Brewster Interview

    Jordana Brewster Interview

It still feels like just yesterday that I caught my first of many big screen viewings of The Faculty, Jordana Brewster’s feature debut and the film that’d quickly convince me she’d continue to deliver big and pick projects I’d wind up falling hard for. Sure enough, then came D.E.B.S., The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning and six Fast and Furious films.
Brewster’s Mia returns to the Fast franchise for the ninth installment after sitting out The Fate of the Furious. The crew promised to let Mia and Brian (Paul Walker) live happily ever after with their children, free and clear of their dangerous missions, but when the latest involves Dom (Vin Diesel) and Mia’s estranged brother Jakob (John Cena), it calls for Mia’s return.
With the latest in the mega franchise, F9, hitting theaters on June 25th, Brewster took the time to join us for an episode of Collider Ladies Night to takes us from her early days on All My Children to enjoying a lengthy run with one of the biggest film franchises of all time. Yes, that means discussing all of those aforementioned titles and then some, but Brewster’s journey from early gigs to Fast and Furious also includes a pivotal life experience - studying English at Yale.
Check out what she had to say about all of that and more in this edition of Collider Ladies Night!
