DTVC Extra 25, The John Wick franchise, "John Wick: Chapter 3," "John Wick: Chapter 4," and "Madame Web"
"DTVC Extra" are shorter solo episodes that I'll be posting on some weeks in addition to the main podcast. In this episode we're finishing our look at the John Wick franchise. With part 3, I talk about how this is building on the first two; also the performances by Halle Berry and Mark Dacascos. For part 4, I look at the end of the series, the legacy overall, whether or not this is the end, and of course Donnie Yen and Scott Adkins. Finally, we have a bonus segment, where I'll get into my thoughts on "Madame Web."

DTVC Podcast 159, Madsen MAYhem, "Assault on Hill 400" and "Machine"
Ty from Comeuppance Reviews is back, this time for "Madsen MAYhem," our Michael Madsen double feature. First we look at "Assault on Hill 400," an Asylum film where Madsen spends most of the time as a WWII general in a tent with William Baldwin. Second, we go back to 2007 for "Machine," a crime drama with Neal McDonough and Oscar winner Nick Vallelonga. Finally, in our Spotlight on a Fight, we look at the end fight from the Dudikoff classic "The Human Shield."
You can find Ty at comeuppancereviews.net, or on the Comeuppance Reviews podcast, which you can subscribe to on most major podcatchers.

DTVC Podcast 158, "Crackerjack 2"
Todd Liebenow from Forgotten Filmcast is back on, this time to discuss "Crackerjack," Die Hard in a train tunnel with Judge Reinhold as the main star. We talked about what we usually think of Reinhold in, like "Fast Times," and then tried to reconcile that with him as an action lead--and then tried to reconcile that with the rest of the movie, which wasn't all that reconcilable!

DTVC Extra 24, The John Wick franchise, "John Wick," and "John Wick: Chapter 2"
"DTVC Extra" are shorter solo episodes that I'll be posting on some weeks in addition to the main podcast. In this episode we're starting our look at the John Wick franchise. With part 1, I talk about where this ranks in my top action films of the 2010s, and get into what I liked and didn't like. Also, I touch on the strong imagery of a dog being killed in a film. For part 2, I look at the shift toward mainstream this film makes, ever so slightly. I also make the case for having dogs in movies just to be dogs, not saving the day or having super powers.

DTVC Podcast 157, "Cinderella's Revenge"
In this episode I'm joined once again by screenwriter Tom Jolliffe, as we discuss his newest film, "Cinderella's Revenge," which I was able to see in the theater. He gives us some of the behind the scenes on some of the decisions that were made, or what he and the rest of the cast and crew were going for in a particular instance. Before we get into that though, we give our thoughts on the late Daniel Zirilli, who left us last week.
Check out "Cinderella's Revenge," starring Lauren Staerick and Natasha Henstridge, and produced by Mark L. Lester, in select theaters here in the US, and then look for it on streaming everywhere later this year.

DTVC Podcast 156, "Frankenhooker"
In this episode I'm joined by Freddie Young from Full Moon Reviews as we discuss "Frankenhooker." We get into Frank Henenlotter as a director, and how he uses New York City as a character. We also compare NYC and Times Square today versus when "Frankenhooker" was made, and how horror has changed over the years too.
