Kids in Need Foundations supplies The Education Fund's Ocean Bank Center for Educational Materials with essential school supplies during a normal school year. Kids In Need Foundation CEO Corey Gordon joins us to talk about how the foundation works with nonprofits like The Education Fund to supply materials for communities, teachers and students across the U.S. 

The Education Fund now teams up with nonprofits to distribute essential supplies to people affected by the COVID-19 crisis. Camillus House has long been a refuge for homeless individuals, families, and teens. 

Camillus House CEO Hilda Fernandez talks about how her organization prepared for the pandemic's impact on the homeless and how the organization works The Education Fund to distribute supplies to people in need. 

The Education Fund has enlisted the expertise of Michelle Singh, a MDCPS Technology trainer and curriculum specialist to host our interactive how-to tech webinars for teachers. Michelle offers some distance learning tips and resources for teachers and parents. Her webinars with The Education Fund are all listed at EducationFund.org. 

In the inaugural episode of The Education Fund podcast, Teachable Moments, we take a look at teaching grants underwrite innovation in the classroom. The Education Fund's grants support new ideas, new technologies and creativity in public schools in Miami-Dade County. 

This year, The Education Fund announced the Emergency Remote Teaching Grant thanks to funding from the P.L. Dodge Foundation. This grant will help teachers fill in the gaps in their technology to provide high quality distance learning experiences for students.
