EP:25 " I'm Waiting For A Transplant To Save My Life " – Steven Davies-Dawson #HopeWall Podcast

    • メンタルヘルス

➡️ Introducing Steven who is 39 years who currently lives on the Gold Coast with his partner and fur baby. Steven is no stranger to illness with multiple diagnosis that started from a very young age and sadly this has continued to follow him as an adult.

Steven has had diabetes since he was young, and went from being overweight to 79kg. He was also diagnosed with Celiac Disease which saw him drop weight even further to 49kg at one point. 😳

Nearly 6 years ago he had kidney failure and his kidneys have slowly been deteriorating him. His kidneys are currently running at 2-3% capacity and he's become very sick because of this. Steven is currently on dialysis 4 times per day to drain fluid in and out of his body to help control it. Steven is also on the waitlist for pancreas and a kidney that could potentially save his life. 🙏

I got a phone call from the Westmead Hospital about a transplant and it was all lights go and then something happened... 😱

I just wanted to wrip the drip out of my arm when they told me! 😢

Tune in to hear more of Steven's journey. 🎙
