Belize is one pof the more fascinating places in Central America. While it's bordered by Mexico and Guatemala, and shares a geopolitical sphere with Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica, it's not a dominant-Spanish speaking country. In fact, unlike all the other countries, Belize was actually Britain's lone Central American colony for a long time. Trains are an incredibly important piece of transportation technology. But while the United States is not often considered to be a train country overall, it actually kind of is! It's just not one for passengers. Still, the U.S. has more active track than any other single country and hauls much of our goods from city to city.
