    Good Girls Prioritize Themselves

    Good Girls Prioritize Themselves

Feeling all over the place? Grateful to have some light at the end of the tunnel, but definitely felt the recent Mercury Retrograde? Well, we're about to plan ourselves out of our funk girlfriend! Grab your pen and calendar and let's get to work!

It's very easy to see curated Instagram feeds, the unexplained backdrops of people's lives, and sunshine on the socials and to assume that everyone is figuring it out while you still feel stuck right now. I'm here to tell you that everyone else feels discombobulated right now as well, they just might be less likely to sweat it out visibly on the interwebs!

Even with our current brain fog and scatterbrains, we can still  focus on what's important to us and build bits of joy into what is sure to be a continuously fluxuating period of limbo ahead of us.

Feel like you need to set aside some intention time to do this?

Join me for a workshop on June 17th where I'll be discussing how I  plan to get my life together, and you're welcome to join my Facebook group where it will be taking place by clicking through to my linktree listed here: https://linktr.ee/brittanis or above at the Link in my Bio!

Let's get ourselves together sis! It's you and me......and all other people. We've got nothing to lose, and nothin to prove!

Good Girls Can Navigate the In Between Spaces

Good Girls Can Navigate the In Between Spaces

** Did 2020 zap you of feeling like you had control over any parts of your life?

**Has autopilot becoming your modus operandi?

** Been feeling in a brain fog for far longer than you'd like to admit?

** Have you stopped making plans altogether until COVID life is "over"?

**Would you simply like to stop and take some intentional time to reevaluate what you want the rest of your year to look like?

Well girlfriend, it might be time to disentangle yourself from having decisions happen to you, instead of making decisions that honor your needs, showcase clear boundary setting, and create some hope for the future!

This is easier said than done I know, but in today's episode we will look back six months from today and remember the absolute uncertainty we were living in at the time, which made many of us feel paralyzed and heavier than usual.

We in the US have some science based hope for the future, and if nothing else, things are reopening no matter if we are ready or not. Some tough decisions will need to be made!

When does an activity feel "safe enough"? How do you learn to trust spaces and places again? How do you politely tell relatives that continued remote work, doesn't mean you'll be able to built in babysit anymore? If you're going back to your office, and have to be in public places, you may start to ease into being social again too. What is acceptable for you is a thing you'll have to figure out, knowing that everyone won't agree. That's OK!

How many people is too many people at a gathering?  Suffering from unvaxxed/vaxxed crowd anxiety? This is to be expected!

So take a listen to this week's episode, and consider some of the in between spaces, you'll have to navigate as life shifts for us all once again. Being stuck in the in between doesn't have to mean being paralyzed. You can make good decisions!

Talk That Talk......Boundary Talk That Is

Talk That Talk......Boundary Talk That Is

    Greetings sis!
Welcome to another episode of the Good Girl Gone Real podcast! Today we're talking about the complicated work of erecting, navigating, and maintaining boundaries in our personal lives and in our careers. Even when we know we need them, sometimes it is VERY hard to not only confront someone who is disrespecting your boundaries, but also to continually watch someone you love or are in a relationship with exhibit behavior that is not fair to either one of you.

This is where you might have to have the.....duh duh duh......Boundary Talk!

    [Confrontation avoiders unite! :-)]

    We'll discuss:
How not to let the unpleasantness of what might be a difficult conversation, stop you from creating a boundary. Suggestions for how to handle habitual boundary violaters*Handling work boundaries....spoiler alert: You CAN say NO to things!
As difficult as a single conversation (or several) might be to have, it could mean the difference between keeping someone in your life or deciding they don't belong there anymore.

How do you do this without feeling guilty? Give them the option to stay or go, but stand firm and resolute about what it takes to rock with you, as you take back control of your own life. You might have people put up a fight, and you might have  who are self-aware enough to acknowledge that they didn't know they were at fault. Sometimes people surprise us! Either way, you've gotta stay true to you. Don't be afraid to talk that talk girl!

You are out here inspiring, challenging, and making a path so others' feel empowered to do the same, and I bet you don't even give yourself credit for it!
    ---
What is  that one thing that you have on lock, no matter how much on your plate you've got? Are you the financial guru in your household who makes sure everyone gets the vacation they desire? Are you the chili cook off champion of your neighborhood, dominating the Block Party whenever you can get together with your neighbors? Are you the workout warrior who's consistency inspires everyone, or the fashionista whose pattern on pattern mixing is so on point, you can get the quietest churchmouse to start believing leopard print is a neutral?
    ---
Maybe you're all of those things and so many more, and you have not been giving yourself the credit! You deserve every bit of shine you can account for queen! Not because you are chasing likes......not because you are chasing compliments.....not because you are an attention seeker......but because queens deserve nice things. Queens deserve gentle lives full of beauty. Queens keep this world, their families, and their communities from sinking into deep despair.
    ----
And it's my job to remind you to straighten your crown, sit on your throne, and bask in your own ambience. You are the 'ish girlfriend! Now go handle your business!

    Baby I'm Sorry....#ImNotSorry !

    Baby I'm Sorry....#ImNotSorry !

We're all on a journey in this life, and while inviting others into yours is what makes life sweet, sometimes people are Warheads, sittin' sideways in Sour Patch Kids land, or are going through a Black licorice time of their life!
    ---
If they are, that's OK. Sometimes the candy gets mislabeled sis! That's not on you! What can you do to get that bad taste out of your mouth? Tune into today's episode for some figurative mouthwash!
