Can you use the power of your mind to overcome challenges?
In this episode, Dr. Ellen Langer explores the power of mindset in overcoming challenges and achieving a healthy mind and body.
Ellen Langer earned her Ph.D. at Yale University in Social and Clinical Psychology and joined the faculty at Harvard in 1977. Ellen studies the illusion of control, decision-making, aging, and mindfulness theory.
She is considered the mother of mindfulness and has written five books on the topic starting with her best-seller, Mindfulness, and her newest book, The Mindful Body: Thinking Our Way To Chronic Health.
Through a personal story of loss and resilience, this episode highlights how our views of events shape our experiences of stress. Ellen emphasises the importance of finding joy in the process of pursuing our goals, rather than solely focusing on the end result.
You will learn how to adopt a mindful approach to exercise, diet, and nutrition, and understand that making the most of life's circumstances can lead to positive outcomes.
