'Rock the Block' Season 4 Episode 4: High Praise for This Week's Lower Level Renovations

Imagine having 1,500 square feet of walkout basement space to design to your heart's content. Would it be dedicated to family time, entertaining guests, or cultivating your physical and mental health? That was the big decision the four teams of HGTV designers had to make on this week's episode of "Rock the Block."
Host Ty Pennington announces that the design duos will be tricking out the entire 1,500-square-foot lower level of their houses, and it's up to them to decide how to add as much style and appraised value to the space as possible.
Creativity was at an all-time high and the designers turned out four impressive zones, but one team impressed judges Alison Victoria and Veronica Valencia the most and were crowned this week's winners. Who brought home the gold? Click the player above to hear our full recap of "Rock the Block" episode four.

'Rock the Block' Season 4 Episode 3 Recap: Which Team Has the Sweetest Main Suite?

When designing (or dreaming about) the ideal main suite of a home, the goal is to cultivate a space that is comfortable and functional. On this week's episode of "Rock the Block," all four teams passed this test with flying colors. Every main suite included a relaxing bedroom, a spa-like bathroom, a walk-in closet, and a private washer and dryer. But one team of HGTV stars used their experience designing luxurious homes to rise above and be crowned the winners of the main suite challenge.
On an all new episode of "House Party" podcast, we chat about the most recent episode of "Rock the Block" including all of the fancy-schmancy design details, that "design surprise," and (of course) host Ty Pennington—in chaps.

Rock the Block Season 4 Recap: Are Two Kitchens Better Than One?

Rock the Block Season 4 Recap: Are Two Kitchens Better Than One?

“House Party” is the official Realtor.com® podcast about the overlapping worlds of home and pop culture, hosted by Rachel Stults and Natalie Way. Click the player above to hear our take on this week’s hot topics.
We're all in on season four of "Rock the Block," the home renovation competition that pits teams of HGTV stars against one another to build a house from scratch and add as much value to the property as possible. This time around, the showdown takes place in the idyllic mountain town of Berthoud, CO, and the designers are tasked with overhauling 5,000-square-foot mansions using a budget of $250,000. It's "Rock the Block": luxury edition, and we couldn't be more excited to recap the season and watch the drama unfold.
This week is technically kitchens week, but the designers are also tasked with renovating the dining room, pantry, and mudroom. On top of that, host Ty Pennington sends the HGTV stars on a hot air balloon design challenge that takes the competition to new heights.
Jenny and Dave Marrs, stars of "Fixer to Fabulous," are brought in to judge the final designs and choose a winning team based on their decision to build not one but two kitchens. Which design duo comes out on top? We discuss it all on this week's episode of "House Party."
